Volunteers
We are always looking for people to help with the management and running of your Community Centre.
Volunteers are required to assist in the general running and maintenance of the Community Centre. Specific roles can be made available if anyone wishes to take on the job. These include administrative roles such as minutes Secretary, website administrator and events organiser. It would be appreciated if someone would take on the job of keeping the outside space and yard clean and tidy. There is occasional assistance required in maintenance of the building when tasks are undertaken to improve the structure or decorate..
All Cymuned volunteers and Trustee/Directors have always given their time freely to the Community Centre. There is no payments made to anyone unless out of pocket expenses are incurred. There are also no special rates as they all pay for meals, drinks, film nights and membership fees.
If you have some spare time and feel that you can help in any way please contact Malcolm Sumner on 07967-116632 or email cympencom@gmail.com
VOLUNTEERING AT YOUR COMMUNITY CENTRE
PENNANT YOUTH CLUB
(02/12/2024)
Lending a Hand - Would you have some spare to help out?
Would you have any time on a Friday evening to join the team in assisting at the Youth Club.
We are looking to identify people who could join a roster of volunteers, so that it won’t be an every week commitment. Sessions are 6.00pm to 8.00pm.
If you wish to help it will be necessary, for anyone volunteering, to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. These checks are carried out through Cymuned Pennant. Please contact Gill Evans for any further information.
CAN YOU HELP?
(13/09/2024)
We are always looking for people who are willing to spend some time helping out at the Community Centre. This will enable the Centre being available for more general opening hours for people just to come together and socialise, a Community ‘Welcome Space’.
Also, when we do run events, many hands make light work for the things to be done.
If you are willing to help out why not become a Community Volunteer.

Unfortunately no works have been carried out at the Centre in August. There is still cleaning, minor repairs and painting to be done. Also the roof of the extension needs coating with a resin/paint mix before winter, weather permitting.
If you have some spare time and feel that you can help in any way please contact Malcolm Sumner on 07967-116632 or email cympencom@gmail.com

Thank you again to Dale Yard for his further help in fitting and commissioning the new Cinema and Sound System in the Community Centre. It was very warm work.
A big thank you to Colin Lipscombe and Denise Yard in the painting of the exterior walls of the extension.
In August, which is generally a quiet month at the Centre, we will be looking at doing some cleaning, minor repairs and painting.
If you have some spare time and feel that you can help in any way please contact Malcolm Sumner on 07967-116632 or email cympencom@gmail.com

Thank you to Dale Yard for jet washing and cleaning the windows and plastics on the extension at the Community Centre. This is so the exterior rough cast render, on the walls, can be painted.
This is part of the annual tidy, clean up and maintenance to the Community Centre over the period of better weather.
If anyone feels that they are able to lend a hand the following tasks need to be carried out:
Painting the walls, gutters to be cleaned out, windows to be cleaned inside and out, exterior white plastics to be cleaned. There may also be other tasks to tackle on other days.
