PENNANT STITCHERS
Pennant Community Centre
2.00pm to 4,00pm Thursdays
The Year is coming to an end and Pennant Stitchers will close for Christmas on 11th December, 2025 and open again, feeling refreshed, on 15th January, 2026.
The ladies of the 'Stitchers' group would like to show their appreciation for all the support given by the Community. They have Knitted, Sewn & Crocheted and sent, to Ukraine, over 200 items this Year, with their continuing support of the The Hub’s Ukraine project in Aberystwyth.
A second MacMillan Tea Party was held this year, with fun being had by all who came along with a bonus of raising over £1,000.00 again.
.
Lastly, the ladies have made 55 drawstring bags, the same as were used to put pumps/trainers in at School. These were made mainly from used Duvet Covers, costing £2.00. These bags have been filled with pyjamas, baby outfits, socks, hats and more, including a toy or game. Under privileged children will given these bags as a gift for Christmas and the bag can then be used for something else.
These bags have been presented to 'Home Start' Lampeter at Pennant Community Centre, who will arrange for their distribution.
Carrieanne would like to thank everyone for their hard work, company and contributions over the year and Wish you all a Merry Christmas & Happy New
