Grwp Sgwrs Cymraeg Pennant Welsh Conversation Group

The Welsh Conversation Group will be meeting at Pennant Community Centre every two weeks.
The first meeting was held on Tuesday 25th June, 2019.

NOTE:

The group meets every 2 weeks in the Centre, from 7.00 - 8.30 p.m. The cost per session is £2.00 to cover heating and lighting. There is no set structure to the meeting, people share what they have done or what they are doing, and sometimes a member will speak about a personal experience or interest. The sessions are designed to enable people to develop their conversational skills and build confidence: the group is very supportive, sharing how things can be said and providing new words to build a personal vocabulary.

What needs to be emphasised is that the group is not a class and that people coming to the sessions need to have some Welsh, although there is a full range of ability in the group, from members who have just started their Welsh journey to learners who are on the edge of fluency, and members whose first language is Welsh. What is important to emphasise is the group is very friendly and  mistakes are accepted as part of the learning process - their correction helps to build confidence. All are welcome.
