COURSES
DIGITAL SKILLS
(30/01/2024)
The charity AbilityNet is working alongside BT to deliver a library of training sessions specifically designed to support older people to improve their digital skills.
These free sessions can be delivered one to one, or in groups, in homes, in public, or in private facilities and settings.
The programme has been incredibly popular in England and Scotland, with the focus now on Wales.
They are looking to liaise with Councils, Support agencies, Community workers and anyone who has links with older people (preferable from the age of 60 plus) who may benefit from our service.
Each session, which lasts up to 90 minutes, can be bespoke, jargon-free and can range from topics such as basic introductions to technology and devices, through to Internet shopping, Internet banking, using Apps, Social Networking and Scam awareness
They have already helped hundreds of older people feel less isolated and more confident in using technology, which has helped them improve their lives and wellbeing.
