FELINFACH

What's on at the Vale, Felinfach/Be sy mlaen yn y Vale, Felinfach

It's been a busy time in the Vale - we had a lovely St. David's celebration, the various Six Nations quizzes have been a lot of fun, and despite the results people have enjoyed the hot dogs at half time during Welsh rugby games!

Good crowds came along during the Ceredigion YFC Half Hour Entertainment evenings - it was great to see members and friends of so many clubs.

If you or your organisation would like to hold something in the Vale - a meeting, party or social activity - please get in touch (cysylltu@tafarn.cymru).

The events team has been busy holding a few exciting things for spring as well. We’re developing few regular events:

• Cwrw a clonc – an informal opportunity to learn to speak Welsh – 7pm, every second and fourth Wednesday of the month (the next on 22 March)

• Chess – 7.30pm, every Monday night (starting this Monday!)

• Pool Tournament – 7.30pm, last Friday of each month (next on 31 March)

Events, events, events!

Our final Six Nations Quiz will be on Thursday evening, with Keith Henson at the helm! The theme is France, and it kicks off at 8pm.

Alwen Llwyd will be holding an afternoon tea on Mother's Day and the tickets are almost gone - contact our Facebook page if you would like to grab the last ones.

18 March will be a busy day - we will have Jengyd (the first escape room in Welsh – based on the theme Operation Julie) with us from 12.30pm onwards (reserve a place for your team by emailing jengyd.cymru@gmail.com). We will be showing the 3 rugby games on the screens, and Pitsa De will be bringing the food van to the Vale! There from 4.30pm onwards.

Hi Hi Hi (the Drama Festival) is sold out for that night - but there are more Welsh comedy nights planned...

And you heard it here first - there will be something very exciting to celebrate one year since the reopening of the Vale as a community. Keep the weekend of 5-6 May free!

There are ideas for a monthly quiz on Thursday evening and talks and activities on Sunday afternoons... you are welcome to join us at the Vale on Wednesday 29 March to contribute more ideas on events.

Kind regards,

Lowri (on behalf of Menter Tafarn y Dyffryn)

Annwyl aelod,

Mae wedi bod yn gyfnod bishi yn y Vale – cawsom ddathliad Gŵyl Ddewi hyfryd gyda chawl a chân, mae cwisys amrywiol y Chwe Gwlad wedi bod yn dipyn o hwyl, ac er gwaethaf y canlyniadau mae pobol wedi mwynhau’r hot dogs hanner amser yn ystod gemau rygbi Cymru!

Ar ben hynny, daeth tyrfaoedd draw adeg nosweithi Hanner Awr o Adloniant CFfI Ceredigion – ro’dd hi’n braf rhoi cartre cartrefol i aelodau a ffrindiau’r mudiad.

Os hoffech chi neu eich mudiad drefnu rhywbeth yn y Vale – man cyfarfod, parti neu weithgaredd cymdeithasol – cofiwch gysylltu (cysylltu@tafarn.cymru).

Mae’r criw trefnu digwyddiadau wedi bod yn brysur yn cynnal ambell beth cyffrous at y gwanwyn hefyd.

Dyma restr o’n digwyddiadau ‘rheolaidd’ erbyn hyn:

  • Cwrw a clonc – cyfle anffurfiol i ddysgu siarad Cymraeg – 7pm, bob ail a phedwerydd nos Fercher y mis (y nesaf ar 22 Mawrth)

  • Chware Gwyddbwyll – 7.30pm, bob nos Lun (yn dechrau nos Lun yma!)

  • Twrnament Pŵl – 7.30pm, nos Wener ola pob mis (y nesaf ar 31 Mawrth)

Digwyddiadau o bob math

Bydd ein Cwis Chwe Gwlad olaf mlaen nos Iau, gyda Keith Henson wrth y llyw! Ffrainc yw’r thema, a’r cyfan i ddechrau am 8pm.

Bydd Alwen Llwyd yn cynnal te prynhawn ar Sul y Mamau ac mae’r tocynnau bron iawn â mynd – cysylltwch â’n tudalen Facebook os hoffech fachu’r rhai olaf. Ac mae Talwrn Radio Cymru yn dod draw ar 25 Ebrill.

Bydd 18 Mawrth yn ddiwrnod da i alw draw – bydd fan Jengyd (escape room gynta’r Gymraeg) gyda ni o 12.30pm mlaen (cadwch le i’ch tîm trwy ebostio jengyd.cymru@gmail.com). Byddwn yn dangos y 3 gêm rygbi ar y sgrîns, a bydd Pitsa De yn dod â’r fan fwyd i’r Vale! Yno o 4.30pm ymlaen.

Mae noson Hi Hi Hi (Yr Ŵyl Ddrama) wedi gwerthu mas ar gyfer y noson hynny – ond mae mwy o nosweithi comedi ar y gweill...

Ac fe glywoch chi fan hyn gynta’ – bydd rhywbeth cyffrous iawn mlaen i ddathlu blwyddyn ers ailagor y Vale fel cymuned. Cadwch benwythnos 5-6 Mai yn rhydd!

Mae syniadau am gwis misol ar nos Iau a sgyrsiau a gweithgareddau pnawn Sul... i’n helpu i feddwl am syniadau mae croeso i chi ymuno gyda ni yn y Vale nos Fercher 29 Mawrth.

Cofion gore,

Lowri (ar ran Menter Tafarn y Dyffryn)
